A review of reviewing music

Music appreciation means one “appreciates” many albums and songs. But liking music means you like only one or two.

Music is so momentary that simply liking or disliking is more natural in this medium than liking or disliking other forms of media

To review may be a form of music appreciation, but not necessarily like and dislike

If one only merely appreciates, you would be better just to say ‘yes’ or ‘no’, like or dislike.

One must listen to the music first. Then with a reason or two what I prefer in reviewing is to like or dislike something

If one is consumed by conscience – in that one must address theme above liking or disliking something because of some religious duty – then reviewing gets complicated, if you really dislike the same piece of music.

Better to stick to some sort of logic and consistency because the reviewer will sound definitive. Better to avoid complications. Let your yes be yes and your no be no.
