sleep-1

The proverb says,

A little sleep,

A little slumber,

A little folding of the hands to rest.

“Wake up” she said.

Annoying little so and so.

Who said that?

Don’t wake up.

Look around and see who said it.

Tell them off.

Then go back to sleep–

If you can.

Blissful sleep,

Well earned.

Not well received

When will there be peace

For the sleeping?

When will there be peace

For the dreamers,

For the tranquil and the serene;

For the uttermost in deepness of un-thought,

Asleep, but disturbed.

Where they hide from naysayers,

And interrupters of joyous song, but are woken up,

By one ding-a-long,

When all was calm.

Let the sleepers know  guiltless,

Closeness to happiness,

A moment of this rest is not enough.

And the criticisms of the loud will be drowned out all-together.

You annoying little blighter!

Get lost!

Go!

Sleepy head forever,

Rest in peacefulness.
