Spirituality may make a more effective worker
Trainer of leaders Dr. John Savage is a consultant from Leadership, Education and Development (LEAD) and he also founded the organization. He works mainly with churches, but when he works with secular organizations, some of them will not allow him to talk about God, he says.
In business, some industries don’t like you to use God language. He says he brings the truth and ethic in that situation. “I can bring the gifts that God has given me into those organizations and I can talk about it in none-God language.”
Spirituality has opened up in industry. “[Industry has] learned that when you deal with the spiritual as a person you get a better work person. You get more loyalty, effectiveness and efficiency,” he says.
Dr. Savage tells me that more and more spirituality is allowed in the United States than ever before. Industries hire industrial chaplains employed to deal with the spiritual lives of people.
